Join Rio Salado College for the 7th Annual Dash with Splash

5K, 10K, and 1 mile run/walk!

All ages and ability levels are welcome!

Join us as we raise money to provide scholarships and initiatives to benefit students wishing to further their education.


This event supports the Jo C. Bennett Student Assistance Fund. The Jo C. Bennett Student Assistance Fund is for Rio Salado College students needing immediate financial support to prevent situations that may cause the student to drop out of college.  To help support please consider Donating Here.

  • Pre- & Post-Race "Athlete's Brunch" (granola bars, fruit, water, etc)
  • Chip Timed with Real Time Results and Photos provided by StartLine Racing on their Website

Race Day Information

  • Race Day Check In and Registration will be available beginning at 6:30am at Kiwanis Park in Tempe.

    • We accept cash, check, and credit card on race day.  Race day prices are $50 for the 10K, $40 for the 5K, and $30 for the 1 Mile Run/Walk

    • All shirts sizes may not be available on race day (please register online before race day to guarantee your shirt size choice).

  • Wheelchair, stroller, and leashed pet friendly event.

    • All wheelchairs, stollers, and leashed pets must start at the back of the start line coral.

      • All participants are chipped time, so your time will not be affected by starting at the back of the coral.  Your  time will not start until you cross the start line.

  • The course will take you along the dedicated running trails at Kiwanis Park (all asphalt and concrete).  Please note - this is an open use trail system and does not close for our event.

  • Due to the common start/finish line there will be no bag check for this event.

Event Schedule

  • April 4th 3:00PM - Packet Pick-Up at 'Cafe at Rio' on the Rio Salado College Campus from 3:00 - 6:00pm

  • April 5th 6:30AM - Race Day Registration & Packet Pick-up Begins at Kiwanis Park

  • April 5th 7:30AM - 10K Run Begins

  • April 5th 7:45AM - 5K Run Begins

  • April 5th 8:00AM - 1 Mile Run/Walk Begins

  • April 5th 8:45AM - Awards Ceremony Begins (approx)
